The Ultimate Rally Driving gives you a chance to drive two very different types of rally car – old and new – on a variety of surfaces!

The morning begins with a thorough safety briefing and an introduction to the cars that will be making you smile all day long! Then it’s time to get suited up and take charge of the legendary Ford Escort RS2000 rally car on the gravel stage while you get to grips (sorry!) with the concept of driving on loose surfaces and learn and practice many new driving techniques! Once you’re done with the practice, it’s on to the special stages!

After lunch it’s tarmac time, as you take control of either a Mitsubishi Evo VII or a Subaru Impreza STi and experience the sheer power and incredible grip and control of these modern rally giants.

After a fun and thill-packed day behind the wheel you will receive a full de-brief on your skills and progress throughout the day! A must for the serious rallying enthusiast!

Guidelines for participants

You must have a full manual UK drivers licence.

Spectators

There is a charge for spectators on the day. Full day spectator cost is £15.00 per person, although this includes lunch & refreshments.

Availability

This experience is available year round and will only be affected by extreme weather conditions. We recommend that you book a minimum of 6 weeks in advance.

How to order

When you buy an experience from Extreme Element you will get a voucher which will be used towards the experience purchased. The voucher itself is called an Ex Pass. This will include: your experience and the voucher code (for redemption purposes). This voucher needs to be redeemed online.

An Ex Booking is your “booking voucher”. This is what you will receive after you have redeemed your Ex Pass (voucher). This will include partner centre details, activity details, and restrictions. You must keep this in a safe place as this is your unique booking and will need to be presented when attending your activity.

Rally and Track Experience for Two

Length of activity 5 hours.
Price £850.
Locations Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire (Central).

Experience the thrill of driving the supercar of your choice and rallying in a high performance rally car – all in one day.

The Rally and Track Driving Experience for Two gives you the choice of driving a Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Maserati or Audi R8 and also the Mitsubishi Evo and Polo Classic N Rally Car.

When you arrive at the venue you will be given an introductory talk and a briefing on circuit driving techniques. Once the talk is over you will go out in the demo car and complete 3 laps to familiarise yourself with the track. Then comes the good stuff. You get to choose which supercar you would like to take around the track from the following list – Aston DB9, Ferrari 360, Ferrari 550, Lamborghini Gallardo, Maserati or Audi R8.

After your supercar experience, you will get a briefing on rally driving techniques back at base and then drive a Mitsubishi Evolution V on a tarmac stage and then a VW Polo Group N rally car on a tarmac/loose gravel stage.

At the end of the day you will be given a one to one driving assessment by your instructor and a certificate to remember your day (as if that was necessary!)

Guidelines for participants

Drivers must be at least 18 years old.

The minimum height to take part is 5′0″ and the maximum is 6′6″

The maximum weight is 16 stone.

A valid driving licence is required and must have been held for at least a year.

This activity takes place on weekdays and Saturdays at Prestwold Hall.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome at the venue.

Introductory Junior Rally Driving

Length of activity 3 hours.
Price £75.
Locations Suffolk (South), Leicestershire (Central), Cambridgeshire (Central).

Learn how to rally drive with a professional instructor and show off your newly found skills by taking a rally time trial. This rallying experience will provide you with all the techniques required to be a rally driver such as clutch control, breaking and steering.

The day will begin with a full safety briefing and tuition to learn the basic car controls. Once you are confident to jump in a car you will drive a Group N Rally Car with the assistance of a trained instructor acting as your co-driver. Initially you will drive on a test stage to get used to the car and its controls, then you will be timed on a tarmac surface at the end of your second session out on the track.

Once back at base, you will be given a debrief and presented with a certificate as a memento of your day.

Guidelines for participants

This rally driving experience is suitable for ages 12 -16.

The minimum height to take part is 4′10″.

The maximum weight is 18 stone.

No previous driving experience is required.

Drivers must be accompanied by an adult.

Dress comfortably and warmly with clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

This activity takes place on selected weekends from February to November (plus additional weekdays during school holidays at some locations)

You are able to bring 3 spectators along to watch (one of which must be over 18 years old).

Mitsubishi Evo or Subaru Impreza

Enjoy the thrill of driving a Subaru Impreza Sti or a Mitsubishi Evo rally car. The choice is yours…

Your day will begin at the venue with an introduction from your instructor who will go through a number of different driving techniques with you. Then comes the moment of truth. You will need to decide which rally car you want to drive. Whichever car you choose, either the Subaru or Mitsubishi, you will be sure to get one of the most powerful rally cars available and sample breathtaking speed and acceleration.

After your rally drive, you will switch position with your instructor and they will take you on a white-knuckle ride through the rally course. Once back at base you will be given a driver analysis from your instructor and you will receive a certificate of your experience.

The minimum age for this experience is 18 years old.

The maximum height to take part is 6′6″.

The maximum weight is 18.5 stone.

A valid UK driving licence is required for this driving day.

This activity may not suitable for those who suffer from a form of epilepsy or have any physical disability.

This activity takes place on selected Saturdays and some weekdays, February to December.

Full Day Rally

Driving a rally car is like no other form of driving. When else would you get the chance to handbrake turn around corners and power slide around tight corners with gravel surfaces? With this experience you get a full day of rally driving and tuition for qualified rally instructors.

You will start the day with a safety briefing form your instructor and then you will be able to get behind the wheel and begin some training sessions during which you will learn how to handbrake turn and do controlled opposite lock slides. A full lunch will be provided midway through the day and then it’s back to the car for more fun and a chance to test those newly found skills out in the open. The course will depend based on the location selected, but many have loose surfaces which makes the rallying experience that much more fun!

The minimum age for this experience is 17 years old (under 18’s need parental consent).

The minimum height to take part is 5′0″ and the maximum height is 6′4″.

The maximum weight is 18 stone.

A valid UK driving licence is required for this driving day.

This activity takes place on selected days throughout the year.
